Managers - It is Your Responsibility to Keep the Stress Level Low at Work

March 4th, 2010

What Managers Can Do To Reduce Stress At Work

(My Personal Story)

Ever since i’ve embarked on a corporate journey with my dearest co-founders, having staffs in the company is one of my daily routines that i have to face - regardless if the sun is shining or if it is raining.

I realized that it is crucially important to reduce the stress levels at work by being positive role models especially in times of crises. When your managers are calm, your staffs remains calm.

There are four key points of organizational changes that managers can do:

1. Improve Communication

- Openly share information with staffs to reduce uncertainty in the workplace when it comes to their jobs.
- Clearly define staff’s roles and responsibilities in the company.
- Make communication friendly and efficient, and not mean-spirited or petty.

2. Consult Staffs

- Allow staffs to participate in decision making pertaining to you their jobs.
- Consult staffs about their work schedule and work rules.
- Ensure that workload is suitable to staffs’ abilities and resources, and avoid unrealistic deadlines.
- Show that individual workers are valued.

3. Offer Rewards and Incentives

- Praise good work performance verbally and institutionally.
- Provide opportunities for career development.
- Promote an “entrepreneurial” work climate that gives staffs more control over their work.

4. Cultivate a Friendly Social Environment

- Provide a place for social interaction among staffs.
- Establish zero-tolerance policy for harassment.
- Make management actions consistent with organizational values.

On a personal note, should you feel that the managers have not treated you well or have treated you unjustly, please raise your concerns and feedback on ways we can improve our situation for the betterment as a whole.

At same time, should i have not lead the team well, i seek you forgiveness and please look out for my blind-spots as well as my weaknesses in order for me to grow and rectify my current being.

With all these, i would like to also thank Marie who has been dedicating so much time for the company and putting her utmost best in everything she does.

JD, thank you for your consistent feedback on how we could improve the system and your admirable high performing standards that is a model to everyone in the company.

Thank you Hana, for being very professional in what you do and for being diligent to serve to the best interest of the company.

Thank you San, for providing your best work for the company as well as your enduring passion to design.

Thank you Carla, for withstanding the pressures at work and thank you for keeping up with the accelerated pace in the company.

To Hafiz, i thank you from the bottom of my heart for staying with the company during the ups and downs - burning your weekends and cracking your brain to resolve company’s issues.

To Mustafa, thank you to you too for your great inspiration and courage to venture into new fields and not forgetting that you’ve always showed us to Walk-the-Talk, everyitme.

To my other dearest staffs, Dalareich and Juvie. You’ve been very loyal and dedicated to me and i wish to express my heart-felt thanks to you. And forgive me for my short-comings all these months.

May we stand strong, united as one.

Sincerely and truly humbled,
eusof.

Guide to Hydranetwork Success!

January 29th, 2009

sorry Sandy (not real name)!

i was a bit caught up with work and joint ventures. btw i dun celebrate chinese new year. i am not a chinese. hehehe. no real holidays for me. just go to the beach and do some work here and there. i hope your days are great!

Hey i thought it would be great if you can email me your questions and i will also post it in my blog http://eusof.com

how about that!!!

hehehe.

Okay now to answering your questions…

1.  Did you also have to fax that W8 form, for international affiliates?

no. i dun have to cos i am not a US resident. so no need W8 form.
2.  I think I would like to sell weight loss products, various surveys but how and where should I start?

okay here you need to  choose one product to focus on. my advice is to focus on some health related products such as a remedy for a disease say cancer treatment of something like that.

i know the other time i told you about forum marketing and i think you can do that too. although it’s going to take some time. nevertheless this will help you learn slowly (or quickly depends on how fast you learn) on the basic concepts of internet marketing.

My suggestion for now is to start with forum marketing. It’s free although not really my appetite. I am doing it also actually. hehehe.

Find a health product and start joining forums. Just join one or two not more. Search on google: eg. cancer treatment+forum. Look at the more related forum on ur product and register. Start making comments and help the community on how they can solve their cancer issue. And give them solutions. Just search online and you can start finding anwers for them.

I will find an ebook on forum marketing for you so that you can read and learn from. I believe if you can give good answers and help the community you should be earning in no time when people in the community find you credible. Some people say, if you make 20 posts, you are able to make an average a sale. So you can use that as a gauge your own bench mark.

Tell me how i can help.

3.  I went thru the pdf file you sent, that said I should have my own domain name, if I dont is that ok?

You don really need your own domain. Perhaps for now you can do direct linking. Take the link from hydranetwork and place it in your signature. Embed it by the way. The ebook will teach you how.

Just get back to me if you are not clear okay.

4.  How and where do I get the stuff to sell and how do I put it up on the hydranetwork site?

Look under campaign and the categories. There you can find the things you can promote. Click on the product and copy the link given.

5.  As for referals it says that the person who referred u also makes a percentage of what you make, I would like u to make money off me, so would u like me to add you as my referal, how do I?

Yeah that would be great. hahaha. dun really know how that works. Anyways, if you want too, by all means. hehehe. I dun know how you can do that. Perhaps it’s too late. Usually you need to sign up under my referral link before i can get some % of ur earnings. Hehhee. It’s okay though!
Thanks a lot!  I am quite confused now how to go about with the next step and where to start, I really need your help.. Thanks just soo much!!
Tell me if you need more help. I can give you some blueprints on what you can work on. =)
i almost forgot. Here you go! Your Complete Forum Marketing Tools & Softwares!

Questions? Here you go~!

January 29th, 2009
Below are some questions from someone i know. I believe this would be useful for those who may have similar questions to ask.
Firstly thank you to the person for posting this questions. I love it cos i know it’s going to benefit a lot of people in the long run. So thank ya very much!
Here you go the questions:
1. Is there any specific website/company that we have to join to get the comission?(since we’re promoting products) if so who?
2. Any anual/monthly fees? How much do we make per successful buy?
3. And how does it work exactly?u said by putting in the website link of the product people are looking for..so who pays us for helping to promote their products?
4. Example: if lets say people look thru the website & buy the product, how we know that they actually bought the product bcos of the website we promote..then how to make sure we get paid accordingly?the company mite not inform us bout it?
Hmm…for now those r the questions i could think offhand…hope u understand what im trying to say tho..hard to convey myself..
Thanks
1. Yes there are websites you must join in order to get paid. Most of the websites i join are very credible and millions over dollars are made by the people there. ClickBank.com is one of which. There are many thousands of websites and networks which you can apply with and start earning. I personally get paid by ClickBank itself although i do have many networks that i sign with. My advice is to start with one. ClickBank would be great!
2. Most networks (or compainies) that i sign up with do not require any payments. Hahaha. I get this questions a lot as people think that they always have to pay money upfront to make money. Hahaha! No you don’t. With this you can start with zero dollars and start making money. There are many people making hundreds and thousands of dollars every single day without using a dime. Just free methods and strategies. One of which i showed in my Simple Online Money Making Strategy #1. See below link: (Well, of course the one below is not the simplest strategy though, there are more simple ones you can do. hehehe!)
http://eusof.com/blog/2009/01/20/simple-online-money-making-strategy-1/
You can make from $1.00 to over hundreds of dollars of commission per sale depending what product you are promoting. Some products even gives you monthly passive income as what i am getting right now. So power! I can just slack around and get people paying me every month. hahaha! Of course to settle for enough is not enough for me. My goals are huge, so i can’t sit still and be satisfied with what i get. =)

3. Yes. I believe you are talking about affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is when you promote a company’s product and they pay you for each sale or leads/prospect you give them. So yeah. It’s the company which pays you. =)
4.  There’s definitely a tracking device which is embedded in your affiliate link. This will track the number of sales made by you. With that you are paid accordingly.
Hope this answers most of your questions. Otherwise just leave a comment and i’d be happy to make you richer than i am. I know i am crazy. Like i said before, ‘i am only successful if you are more successful than i am’.
Again just to tell why i am doing this for free. ‘I believe in the Pay-It-Forward Philosophy! SO i hope you can help others once you made it!
Till then, see you guys again. Time to do more marketing and make more money even in the economic downturn! Yeah!

I Hate My Life!

January 27th, 2009

Hahaha! Gotcha!

i know. That title is so captivating. & NO! I do not hate my life. I love it as it is. Although i know it could have been way better.

I was reading some blogs before writing this. I discovered that i seldom write personal things here. Well i try not to reveal my personal story too much as i know it may bore others. (Although some part of me says that people love to know what’s happening to my personal life. Hahaha!) Wait! Something just popped up. Never mind. I forgot the quote by Dale Carnegie. Yes i am a self developement fan.

Feeling a bit emotional nowadays. Good and the not so good of emotional feeling.

For now, i am very appreciative of the fact that APEX (Ace PSLE Exams) is helping Madrasah Wak Tanjong. I’m glad that APEX is able to render her contribution to more people. I’m truly gratified when this happened. Of course i would really like to thank those people who made this possible. Without them and Allah’s grace, APEX would not have existed in the first place. So thank you Hannah Loh, Azhar Ismail, Abbas Khan, Mas’Aini Isnin, Mas’uud Samsudin, Noor Sarah Abdul Rahman, Shaza Amalina, Shahiddin Ithnin, Hanna Taufiq, Azry, Bahari, Ariff, Zubaidah, Nisha Rafiq, & Ridhwan Basor.  Thank you people! Deepest gratitude holds within me.

And not forgetting the mentors who were there to support the whole program. I really appreciate them. I wish i could return them a favour however no favour is better than the rewards from Allah swt.

It has been quite an emotion ride for me. Well at least for some moments. Mas’uud speech during the challenge shield 6 gave me a wake up call -when i was watching a record video footage at facebook, really touched my heart. I am still thinking about the ukhuwwah and how i can play my part in the unity of the muslims and people in the world. Thank you for that inspiring speech that made me ponder yet again.

Mas’uud Speech during NUSMS Challenge Shield 06 - 2008/2009

Another touching subject would be Umm Sofiyyah’s blog post which triggered me to write now. She said something which really soothe my heart. Thank you Umm Sofiyyah. Having you in our life is a great blessing indeed. My apologies to you should i have wronged you in many ways ever since you became an apex committee member. I just wanna say that i value your contribution and i hope you can give your utmost best like what you have been doing now. Thank you Umm Sofiyyah! My sincere salutations to you.

http://ummsofiyyah.wordpress.com/2009/01/23/the-reasons-why/

There several things that humbled me these few days. The Solar eclipse today was one of them. it made me think. Rabbana maa halaqta haza bathila, subhanaka faqina azabanar. (Sorry if my arabic is not right. Please correct me.) Dunno why the eclipse reminds me of that verse. Nevertheless i sat there looking at the eclipse thinking how great and purposeful the creation of Allah is. And may Allah save me from hellfire. Something that i really fear although my actions show otherwise much to my own regrets. I long the sweetness of being in love with Allah. And i wish He could give me back the state that i’ve always wanted. O Allah fulfill the wishes of my heart although i don’t deserve that little bit.

I told Sarah & the gang that i wanted to uzlah first before i get married while Sarah wanted to perform her umrah. Wanting to devote and avoid the material world (uzlah) only emphasize my deep desire to feel Allah’s love again. Coming back to the spiritual world is something i really long for. For the journey before this is the sweetest of all.

Despite my mischief toward so many people like Mas’Aini, Hanna Taufiq, Sarah AR, Farhana Bibi and the rest, i do feel a need to keep my mouth shut and just ponder and reflect. Whenever i do this, i will be reminded of Rizhan. A beloved brother whom i miss so much. Especially the times that we were very close.

http://MohdRizhan.Blogspot.Com

His entries in his blogs always touch the deepest part of my emotions. I dunno how he does that. Just wanna thank him for continuing to write on although he almost give up. Alhamdulillah he did not. I’m glad i could relate to his entries although i feel “outcast” for putting a comment cos he attracts all the scholarly muslims in his blog. I am truly humbled about this.

Another thing is the thought of Ameerah Al Mutahar. She reminded and thank me for my previous post back in Oct ‘08. I was truly humbled (yet again) when i read that post of mine. It made me stop all my work and ponder again.

http://hellomynameiseusof.blogspot.com/2008/10/thank-you-note-for-october-08.html

It’s been quite some time since i write a thank you message. I am very regretful for not fulfilling it for the month of Nov, Dec and January. Not that i have no one to thank. I have many to thank and yet i did not fulfill them. My apologies to all whom i owe a ‘Thank You’. And thank you Ameerah for reminding me. It was really very nice of you to do that unintentionally.

Simple Online Money Making Strategy 1

January 20th, 2009

I have been asked time and again on how to make money online. So i guess since i can’t meet new people everyday, i’ll just leave a short session on this post so that you can just extract all you need to start making some cash online.

I must warned you that it may change your life and may replace your current income.

It’s simple. Too simple that many don’t bother to do it. So yeah, if you think you are cut for it, Listen up and follow up!

Strategy #1: Affiliate Video Marketing

Recently i have embraced video marketing as i feel it can give you huge traffic (customers). I love video marketing as it can be made very simple and many people will view your videos. The best part about video is that once you do it will be there almost forever. And it’s like getting people to help you sell 24/7. The more videos you have the more army of salespeople you have. So create those army battalions/formations to help you make more money online. That’s the key.

Doing these are simple.

3 Simple Steps:

  1. Create a Simple Video
  2. Upload it up the various video directories
  3. Link it with your affiliate link & start getting cash in your account!

I will explain in detail. If it’s not detail enough. Leave a comment and i will teach you how.

Of course, you need to sign up with a clickbank account if you haven’t have one. And there are some registrations you need to have before you get going.

Some things that you need to have:

  • Clickbank Account. Click here to register for free.
  • TubeMogul. A video web software which helps you to distribute your videos massively on the internet. Click here to register with tubemogul.
  • You also need to spend a few hours registering to about 20 video sites where you will submit your videos. examples of video sites: Youtube, DailyMotion, Revver, Viddler, etc. You can find this in  TubeMogul.com

Now it seems that there are so many things you must do. Yeah, in fact it is a very long process. For me it’s easy cos i have it almost all already. The softwares, the registrations and all.

And you also need to pick a product from clickbank to promote. Pick something which is in high demand. Hahaha. How to know that? Just leave me a comment and hopefully i’ll answer your question. Hehehe.

Say for example, i am venturing a niche about ‘Save My Marriage’. So i pick related products on my particular niche. Some of the products i take from Clickbank are Magic of Making Up, Save Your Marriage Today, and the likes.

Finding a niche is another important aspect of earning online. If you have any questions how to find a niche, just drop a comment. I may even help you find a profitable niche and provide all the things you need. Seriously, i know i am crazy. People are paying huge amount of money for this. I am giving it away. Hahaha. Remember, my goals is to help you. ‘i am only successful if i make you more successful than i am.’

Points to take note:

Your main goal is to make your videos dominate the google search page where the money is. Every second thousands of dollars are made on one google page. So take your portion. Produce more videos so that you can rip your share of gold, money i.e. That’s the strategy and it’s simply simple.

Do you believe me that this page is making people money? If you don’t believe me watch Ripley’s Believe it or not! Hahaha. That was a joke okay.

Here are some tools and softwares i use:

  1. Ulead -Video creation software. You can also use Window Movie Maker. Normally you will have this if you have windows in your computer. Download here for free.
  2. Any Video Converter. Sometimes i rip videos from youtube.com or other video sites and use some of the video content to make my own. So this ‘Any Video Converter’ software helps you to convert your video format to  other video formats so that you can edit the videos to get the part that you want. Download here for free.
  3. Roboform. This software helps me a lot in anything i do online. It helps me fill up forms automatically with just a click or two. Thanks to this software i hardly remember the hundreds of passwords that i have online. Click here to get it free. Take your time to learn how to use it. It’s quite user-friendly. At first you will insecure about this robot, however it will help you a long way. Use this software to register all the video sites in less than an hour if you know how. =) Download Here.
  4. Of course, i do use some additional softwares. I can’t seem to remember. If i do i will update it here. Do share with me if you have any better softwares or tools that is useful. Click Here for useful softwares.

Just to vent a bit. I don’t really love Gurus especially those who make you pay like anything just for a piece of simple information. That is why i believe in giving and giving and giving. In the hope that you can ‘Pay it Forward’ and give others what you know. Gurus are going to hate me, i know. Well, it’s just a way to show others that i care and want them to succeed financially. So it’s up to you now to take action and live life differently.

Look out for my Strategy #2: Forum Marketing (easiest method ever)

Adam Khoo Inspires Me Yet Again!

January 12th, 2009

Hi Eusof,

I would like to wish one and all a very successful, fulfilling and
happy 2009!

Another whole year has passed like the blink of an eye and another
new year begins. It is that time of the year where I do a very
important ritual-exercise and I would like to share it with you and
encourage you to do the same

I believe that at the beginning of a new year, it is important to
audit the year that has just passed. Time to reflect and write down
all the key accomplishments you have made, the important lessons
you have learned and improvements you have made to yourself.

I’ve always loved to listen to the old Christmas song ‘So, this is
Christmas- by John Lennon’ where the lyrics go ‘So this is
Christmas, now what have you done? Another year over, a new one’s
just begun…’

Ever since I was 15, I have been keeping a SUCCESS JOURNAL, where I
write down all my achievements and insights for every year that has
passed in my life. My philosophy is that if life is worth living,
it is worth recording.

This allows me to look back at my life for the last 19 years, year
by year to see how I have grown and what I have achieved so far.
Success is a process of continuously moving towards the goals you
have set for in your life.

So, if you do not keep a record of how you are progressing each
year, then how do you measure your success?

At the same time, keeping this success journal is a way which I
constantly motivate myself to keep going further. That’s right!

Yours truly Adam Khoo also gets demoralized once in a while, so I
need to motivate myself by reading all my past achievements and
read all the letters of appreciation that people have sent to me.

I invite you to do the same thing! I invite you to share on blog,
what you have learned, achieved, improved in for 2008!

=> http://www.adam-khoo.com/176/a-new-year-begins

Maybe I can start the ball rolling by sharing what is in my own
2008 Success Journal. In 2008, I am proud to have done the following:

1) Wrote ‘Nurturing the Winner & Genius in Your Child’ that hit #5
of the National Best-Seller’s list

2) Conferred the NUS Business School Eminent Alumni Award

3) Successfully Launched the First Millionaire Business
Academy(MBA) Programme

4) Wrote the book ‘Secrets of Building Multi-Million Dollar
Businesses’

5) Wrote the book ‘Profit from the Panic’ where all royalties will
be donated to charity

6) Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group Sales Revenue Hits Over
$20 million & Employees surpass 100 people DESPITE the financial
crisis!

7) Received the Toastmasters International Communications &
Leadership Award

8) Officially Opened one of the largest training offices and venues
in Jakarta

9) Successfully ran the first ‘I Am Gifted’ program for students in
Hong Kong

10) Successfully ran the first ‘ I Am Gifted’ program for students
in Bangkok

11) Featured in Young Parents magazine, Executive Magazine and the
New Paper

12) My group of companies trained in total over 55,000 students,
parents, teachers, entrepreneurs and working professionals in 6
countries

13) Brought my family to Korea for a great holiday

14) Put on 10 kg so I look just right (I was too skinny before)

15) Brought my children to the zoo 6 times, swimming every month,
science centre > 3x, playground countless times. Helped teach my
kids how to read, count, add & subtract (my wife did most of the
work though)

16) Read 65 new books (including ‘Snowball’-Warren Buffett’s
autobiography which is really thick)

The next step, is to set specific, measurable goals with deadlines
attached to them for the New Year. I am not talking about New Years
Resolutions, but GOALS!

Let me tell you why New Years Resolutions never seem to work.
First, they are too vague, general and non-committal.

For example a resolution like, ‘be a better person’ will not work.
To make it a powerful goal, t could be stated like, ‘Do one good
deed a week for a stranger’, ‘ pay sincere compliments to the
people around me’ or ’stop complaining and criticizing’.

The other reason resolutions do not work is because people only
write them down and look at them once. The next time they look at
it (if they ever do) is one year later!

In the meantime, they get so distracted and sidetracked by all the
day to day demands of life that their resolutions are always
shelved aside! For goals to work, you must:

1) Write them down on a big piece of poster

2) Stick it up all over your home, work area, computer desktop

3 Make a public commitment by putting it up on your blog, Facebook
or telling your friends about it

4) Reading it out aloud EVERY MORNING when you wake up

5) Reflect upon them EVERY NIGHT before you sleep

You have to develop this as a HABIT just as you would brushing your
teeth or bathing everyday.

THIS is what it takes to ever achieve the goals you have set. So
again, I invite you to share your goals in my blog. I will start
the ball rolling my committing and declaring MY GOALS.

So, if I don’t achieve them by end 2009, you can write in and laugh

How to Find Your Emotional Hot Button?

December 24th, 2008

Have you ever wondered why some people get really energized when doing something to the extent that they go on and on as if forever non-stop.

Here is when they have pushed their emotional button.

Two questions were given to me by Jack Zufelt from www.DNAofSuccess.com which flames out the fire in you.

In order for you to tap to your innermost potential and energy ask yourself these two burning quetsions.

  1. What would i like to have that i don’t currently have?
  2. If i had that, what would that give me that i don’t have?

Ask these two questions to the point that you feel emotional. Once you have found the answer, you know that is your emotional button.

Use it when you feel down and manipulate it so that you are driven to achieve your goals.

Well, according to Adam Khoo from www.adam-khoo.com, everything is driven by emotions. So make full use of that.

Another give away, if you want to listen to Adam Khoo’s Patterns of Excellence audio program, send me an email at m.eusof@gmail.com and i will share with you my copy. Don’t tell adam khoo… ;)

All the best in achieving what you want!
