Tips for PPC Marketers
Tuesday, November 25th, 2008Jeffrey -another good friend of mine- just shared with me some tips to see if the niche you are promoting is profitable or otherwise.
Just for the record of keeping record, lol, i am laying the short but great tips here especially for those who are new in PPC marketing.
Qn: How do i know that the niche i am promoting is making money for me?
- If you are not experienced enough, you need 2 weeks to one month to observe the conversion rates. This however depends on industry. It varies slightly. Look at the sales conversion ratio. 1:100? 1:50? 1:20? 1:15? To my personal opinion if you are getting at least 1:50 sales conversion ratio, the campaign is bringing you money. Just continue to do split testing to improve your conversion rates.
- Observe traffic.
- (a) If a lot of clicks but no sale, check keywords (assuming landing page and/or sales page is good). Refine keywords.
- (b) If a lot of clicks but no sales, issue mainly lies in the keywords.
- (c) If no clicks but a lot of impressions, check if your domain is in sandbox.
- (d) If no click. no sales, no nothing. (okay this was meant to be a joke. hahaha!) Yes so if no clicks and no impression you need to review your whole campaign again.
